Ballack's presence for the next two qualifiers in doubt


Michael ballack, Chelsea's Midfielder and Germany's captain, is in doubt for the first two worldcup qualifier game as he is suffering from a foot injury.The Germany captain, who missed his country's last game, a 2-0 international friendly win over Belgium, with the injury, willjoin up with the squad as planned on Tuesday, but it still doesnt seem to be sure if he will be fit for the game.One of German's FA website has told that their captain's presence for their wrold cup qualifier match against Liechtenstein and against Finland is certainly a question.Ballack will be intensively
treated by the DFB's medical department from Tuesday.

Cristiano Ronaldo: I'll Be Back For Bolton


Cristiano Ronaldo's return to fitness appears to be ahead of schedule, as the Manchester United winger hopes to be back in action by the end of September.Ronaldo went under the knife in early July to treat an ankle problem that had plagued him during the latter half of last season. The Portuguese superstar was expected to sit on the sidelines until October, but recent reports claimed he had suffered a setback would have to wait until mid-November before making his return.But the 23-year-old has dismissed such speculation, insisting his recovery is going according to plan and that he is in good physical condition.Furthermore, Ronaldo has set a date for his long-awaited comeback, targeting United's Premier League clash against Bolton Wanderers on September 27.

Ronaldo uncertain about his career with MAN UTD


Cristiano Ronaldo, the best winger for Manchester United is refusing to commit himself to his club.The Portuguese winger declined to dampen speculation about his future just 72 hours after United boss Alex Ferguson insisted that he was going nowhere.Ronaldo said: "I've had hundreds of questions about Manchester United and Real Madrid. What do you want me to say? That I'm going or I'm staying? I don't know about the future, only God knows it. I can't say any more."Presently, ronaldo is spending his time in america as he is recovering from ankle surgery.Ronaldo signed a new contract 18 months ago and has already been warned by United that no new deal will be forthcoming.But the player has always insisted moving to Real is a matter of heart, not money.

Gerrard's injury frustration


Liverpool ace Steven Gerrard says he had no choice but to go under the knife to resolve his groin problem. Gerrard underwent the groin operation earlier this week after the club decided the time was right to get the injury cleared up. The injury will sideline Gerrard for up to two weeks and it means he will miss England's World Cup qualifiers with Andorra and Croatia next month.Gerrard admits he has been struggling with the injury for some time and he has revealed his frustration at missing the opening World Cup qualifiers.I've been struggling for a few weeks now. It's really frustrating for me because I want to play in every game," Gerrard told the News of the World."It's a very tough time as a player when you're injured. I've got some very big games coming up for club and country, so it's a massive frustration for me. "But the fact is I couldn't reach the level I need at the moment because my groin was too sore".
